2009 October 18th: Funwar -AoN- vs TH?

Hello -AoN-,

TNaismith here from over at TH (The Hunterz), and was wondering whether you guys would be up for a Funwar on October 18th, 2009? That's a Sunday, and it'll give about 2 weeks for each clan to prepare for it. Here is the rest of the information:

Map: Undecided
Time(GMT): 17 GMT
How many Players: 6-10
Server: Undecided
Date: October 18th 2009 (Sunday)
How many Matches: 4 (2 maps, 2 rematch on each. Each clan picks one map)
FunWar/ClanWar/Praccy: Funwar


For the map and for the server, let us know what your suggestions are, and we'll see if TH will be ok with it to.

Are you aware that 17 GMT is 19 CEST? GMT+1=CET, + Summer time, = 19 CEST

Yes, we are aware that for many in Europe this would be very late into the evening/night. However, most matches planned so far with other clans have used 17 GMT. However, I can understand this might not be the case for everyone.

Would 15 GMT be a more suitable time?

yeh 15:00 will be better

15:00 GMT it is then. There shouldn't be any problems back with TH--we've had matches at 15 GMT before.

Please let us know (Once your done discussing) what your suggestions are for the Server, Map, and also whether October 18th (Sunday) works for you.

15:00 or 17:00 works fine for me and sunday is especially good. I'd say you can count on a yes from the whole clan though about the fw itself!

Have you checked it over with your own clan yet?

I ran a preliminary topic letting TH Members know the plans for the upcoming Funwar. I put the topic out there for anyone in TH to post any problems with, and so far nobody has posted any issues with the date.

If -AoN- confirms/says yes for sure to the date/time posted here, I'll then go back to the TH forums and make an official topic for it.

We're giving -AoN- the chance to decide what is best for their members generally first. Most of TH should be fine with the date/time already. (Excluding the usual incidents where people have dentist, family dinners, exams to study for, etc)

OK, thank you for your patiance and we will inform you as soon as a decision has been reached which is agreed upon by all clan members!

hmm.. What about server?
We mostly play in Girls Server, no one has complained about it. (that i know)
But what is the best server for you TH's?

At the moment, there is no best server for TH. Since our July, the only servers we have mainly played Funwars/Clanwars/Trainings have been in WW Matches. However, WW Matches recently gave us many problems; Hunt3r (Clan-Leader) got kicked out by the server from timed-out, and couldn't get back in, and a lot of other TH Members got disconnected too, and also lagged.

We're not sure if it's WW Matches problem or TH Members problem, but for now we've been staying clear of WW Matches, until we feel ready to try again.

Girls Matches should work. I'll run a poll in TH to see if there are any major problems, but I am 80% sure Girls server should be fine for the Funwar.

Is there anything else?

EDIT: Currently there are no problems from TH Members with Girls. Nobody is posting any disagreements with using the server for the match. It can be booked. Will -AoN- book it? Or do you want TH to book it?

A friendly reminder bump. The server Girls will be fine with TH for the Funwar. Who will book the server? (We just need to go to the Girls website and ask to book right?)

Also, a map, and how many matches need to be decided.

Of course, I haven't heard whether -AoN- wants to have the Funwar or not. Does -AoN- accept the Funwar, or is there still discussion going on? I can wait, just let me know. ^^

WW matches are now fine, and the bug problem has been solved, if u still got a problem contact Carniwhore, Tirza or Storm (all from WW)

-AoN-, I don't quite understand some of your answers, so I'm going to ask the following questions directly:


1. What server are we going to have the Funwar on 100% for sure? Girls?

2. If the server is Girls, who is going to book the server? Someone from TH, or -AoN-?

3. What map does -AoN- want to pick?

1- Server any server normally will be fine. You can pick.

2- If the server is girls, i book it.

3- We are almost decided, but we want to know map you pick also.

Excellente! It seems everything is in place for the Funwar. Let's hope many members from both clans come out to the Funwar, play the 4 matches, and have a good time!
